Freeroll strategy

Poker freeroll is a way to build an online poker bankroll with no risk. A poker freeroll is a free poker tournament that has no entry fee but pays the winner in real money or real money prizes. You can play poker freeroll and have the opportunity to win a great deal of money without risking any of your own money. Poker freeroll offers many tournament style events and is one of the best ways to build the bankroll of a beginning poker player.
One of the best advantages of poker freeroll is the ability to practice different strategies without having the pressure to finish your winning and recoup your buy in. One strategy to use is to play AA, KK and AKs, playing four hands in the first ninety minutes and then adding additional hands such as AKo, AQs, AQo and QQ to all in. Then raise 20% of your stack or fold. From mid to late position the minimum bet is four times or 20% or your stack for all pairs down to 66. From an early position go along with these same pairs and add suited connectors (in any position) down to 76s. Also limp from any position with suited Aces or Kings.
With a pair and over cards on the board, a 4 flush or 4 straight bet is two times the minimum bet, call raises up to four times the minimum bet or 20% of your stack. Fold to bigger bets. With top pair or two-pair and an unpaired board, bet four times the minimum but fold to any raise more than 50% of your stack unless you have the top two pairs and there is no chance of a flush or straight. Consider re-raising all in if this happens. With trips, straights, full houses, etc. try to slow play after the flop. If you do not get any action put in some big raises and end there.
Showing weakness is a disadvantage in poker freeroll. If you miss when you make a large bet before the flop, then try making another big bet. You still have the advantage in poker freeroll as you are playing big cards.
To help you survive the final few tables, you can change your strategy and play a “raise or fold” strategy where you can win a significant portion of the prize pool. Also in the final strategy, chip stack size and aggressive play can help you to get a significant portion of the prize pool.
These strategies for poker freeroll will vary under the conditions being played but are suggestions for poker freeroll. Your strategy should be based on the size of your stack, the number of players and include a working method of beating an opponent heads up.

Poker Odds

You may find it difficult in figuring out what odds exactly hit any drawing hand on a poker table. For this, you need to be excellent in math and calculations. However, you may try figuring the poker odds with a calculator at the poker table by computing the innumerable draw combinations and memorizing them. If your memory is sharp, you may calculate the odds in other ways too, which are as follows:

First, you need to verify how many ‘outs’ you possess. A card, which provides you hand, is itself an ‘out’. Just count how many cards are left there in the deck, which may make your hand. For instance, if you possess Ac 8c, then Qh 9c 4c comes as a flop. Here, you are focusing on the potential flush. With 2 clubs in hand and 2 on board, you are viewing 4 of the 13 clubs of the deck. Nine clubs stay in the deck, wherein you have 2 chances for hitting any one of them.

Proceeding further, you need to calculate the prospects that could help you hit the flush. For this, you have to multiply the amount of outs first by the total opportunities you have for hitting any one of them. Here, in this given example, your result will be 18. Accordingly, you then have to multiply this result by 2 and after that include a percent sign. It will then calculate the odds of you drawing a winning card. Here in this illustration, you need drawing to the flush around 36 times out of hundred. The exact percentage is 34.97.

Next, suppose you hold Jd and Th on this same flop. You will possess a straight draw here with 8 outs for hitting the straight, for instance, four eights and four kings. You get two opportunities for drawing any of the eight outs offering you 16 outs. You need to multiply this figure by 2, which will help you get one straight at 32%. You may lose on hitting your hand. As in the example, the Qc could offer the other player one full house by pairing the board.

Even though there is not a possibility that you might win, it is advisable you always know enough about the odds along with calculation to enhance your winning prospects.

World Series of Poker

WSOP, the abbreviation of World Series of Poker has become a high profile tournament these days, which takes place in Las Vegas. It was organized in 1970 for the first time with only seven players. Later on when it started satellite tournaments, it attracted more than 50 people.

Within fifteen years, the number of people crossed two thousand. After that, television channels like ESPN started giving exclusive coverage to the fans about the events and the information about the winners and performers. The Discovery Channel started giving coverage from 2001, but ESPN took over the reign once again, as poker was emerging as a phenomenon.

At this point of time, the importance of poker as a high profile game was reduced. ESPN started to struggle hard to keep the royalty of the game, but somehow it did not clicked. In 2006, the tournament witnessed total participant of more than 8700.

Increase in the use of Internet started changing the ambience of this tournament. It started to become accessible to more number of people than it was earlier. People from all over the world started to play online poker and it created a big sensation among the players as well as the viewers. Several players participated in the tournament and got worldwide fame with their unsurpassable success.

The WSOP of Las Vegas is one of the biggest poker tournaments of the world. The television broadcast with glass tables and video cameras under the table allowed the fans to view the hole cards. The behavior of players and the betting patterns made this tournament the most popular among both poker fans as well as general people.

There are certain features of WSOP that are known and unknown to the world. Some of them are:

1. Beginners can choose this game simply by watching, as every details is provided in the broadcast itself.
2. Next, it is interesting to watch the behavior of players during hands. When they have good hands, they simply try to extract as much money as possible from the opponent.
3. The technique used by experts to nullify the low chip players at the World Series of Poker is also interesting.
4. Reading the opponents also has a technique. Correct assessment from the body language is an art. If practiced in the right way, it can give a different edge to the aspirers of WSOP.

Poker Tournaments Rebuy Strategy

Since a few years, there is a significant increase in the number of men and women participating in online poker. In fact, every month, many new people are joining the world of online poker.

These people also search for different tournaments conducted at different places and have the record of conducting regularly. Among all kinds of poker tournaments, Rebuy tournament is very famous. Many people prefer Rebuy strategy and participate in only such tournaments. Here is a brief account of the infamous Rebuy strategy.

Online Rebuy tournaments are a lot different from the well-known elimination play. In this type of tournament, players have the provision of starting with equal amount of chips. However, in the initial hours of the game, if they lose their chips, they can get an option of “Rebuying”, so that they can continue with their game.

This kind of tournament has much more aggression comparing to others, because the players are aware of the fact that they are not going to be eliminated in the first chance and they can avail the rebuying facility. Many times, it is seen that Rebuy tournament finishes with big pots, as the players pour in abundant money throughout this rebuy process.

The question arises is that why do people rebuy? The answer is if the player can get a fair chance to come back into the game and make lot of money, then it will be foolish thing to avoid accepting the chance.

Another contribution is that small online tournaments hardly denote a possibility to rebuild the losses by rebuying procedure. If the players realize that there is a distinct possibility of winning the point, then they generally do not apply for Rebuy.

It is good to take the chances only if you sense some possibility of winning. Indirectly, this is a scope of re-evaluation. Some of the poker competitions have tuff competition with potential winners, so the chances of Rebuy are very prominent in these cases. Sometimes players even sit back in the tournament to avail the chances of Rebuy and refresh their senses for a must-needed win, which is one of the most significant aspects of the Rebuy Tournaments.

Some Mistakes That You Should Avoid At Poker Tournaments:

Poker is purely a game of skill and not of luck. You have to be intelligent while playing poker. It is a popular casino game, which has even taken to online presence. Before you step into any poker tournament to try your luck, it is advisable that you are aware of the mistakes that you need to avoid. Avoiding such mistakes will help you to stay watchful and be confident while playing poker.

Mistakes to Avoid:

1. Never re-raise using wrong hands: Many poker players re-raise using hands such as AQ, JJ, AJ, 99 and TT. They mostly play small and medium pairs such as JJ-22 with a view to witness the flop reasonably and to obtain a concealed set. However, never use those hands to the 3-bet pre flop. Good hands for re-raising or re-stealing are the medium pairs as the semi bluff.

2. Calling a player who gives a shove: In no-limit Texas Hold’em, whichever action you do is bound by certain factors. Those factors are the player’s position included in the hand, sizes and stack and also in antes/blinds. In addition, always remember that there is no single way for playing the hand. However, some ways are certainly wrong. For instance, from an early position, any straightforward player might push all in. What you need to ask yourself here before deciding is whether your opponent is desperate owing to the fact that the blinds are drawing near. Besides, whether the player is a solid performer or an aggressive one. What would it cost your stack for calling that player?

3. Calling raise from blinds through marginal hands: Never mind if you lose on your blinds. You need not protect them systematically. In case, you possess high blinds and average stock, stay careful about those hands that you play with the blinds. A hand, for example A7 will lead to trouble, when an ace is visible on the flop. You may however defend through small connectors because the odds are normally good for playing such a deceptive hand. The moment you fall short-stacked, select a suitable time for shoving. A good move here would be pushing your stack using marginal hand, if you act first. However, never use average hand here, after you see a player or two in the pot.
